== Patent ==
Bestows the title of Duke, Duchess, Count, Countess, Viscount, Viscountess, Sir, Master, or Mistress, and the recipient may be addressed in various ways depending on specific award. These patents are the top end of the award structure; any recommendations for this level should be for an individual who is the best of the best.
*[[Order of the Chivalry|Chivalry]]: Those who have excelled in armored combat, and may be addressed as "Sir / Dame" for knights or "Master / Mistress" for Masters of Arms.

In Caidan Law Article VIII.F.3, Court Barony is an armigerous award placed in the Order of Precedence above the other awards in this category, but below the grant level awards.

*[[Chanson]]: Those who have excelled in musical arts. Also known as L'Honneur de la Chanson.
*[[Corde de Guerre]] of Caid: Granted for acts of extreme valor upon the war battlefield.
*[[Crescent and Flame]]: Awarded to youths for outstanding endeavors in the arts & sciences.
*[[Crossed Swords]] of Caid: Granted to such fighting units as have demonstrated exceptional skill at arms, valor, and chivalry upon the battlefield.
*[[Furison]] of Caid: Granted to those who spread the light of knowledge by sharing the skills and passions of their crafts through teaching.

Patent
