History
The Order of the Seraphic Star was created by the Baron of the Angels Pwyll pen Tyrhon on January 9, 1971. It is the first Baronial Order created in the SCA. Those admitted to the Order have provided extraordinary service to the Barony over a sustained period of time. Between 1978 and 2004, the Order languished and was restored by Baron Jason Thomas the Wanderer and Baroness Morgaine FitzStephen.
Traditionally, the Baron and Baroness of the Angels admit new members after current members have been polled and the results reported to them by the Principal of the Order. Admission usually occurs at Angels Yule, and occasionally at Angels Anniversary.
