Established: as New Albion in Unknown, name changed to Sarn Wold in Jul 78, name changed to Altavia in Jan. 82.
Barony: May 1983
Area: San Fernando Valley, north of Los Angeles, Ca., including Canyon Country, formerly included Lancaster/Palmdale
Blazon: Argent, a fret sable and on a chief vert a laurel wreath argent. (The arms symbolize the SCA freeway offramp).
Heraldic officer's title: Sable Fret The herald's name is that of the principal charge of the arms.
