Baroness Eilidh Swann StralachlanRRE, OP, prefers to be called just Eilidh Swann (or Dame Eilidh). She first found the SCA in 1986, and briefly played in Isles with some invented name, long lost in the mists of way back then. After just some minimal participation from '86-'88, she returned to active SCA participation in '93, and hasn't stopped since. In '94 she moved from Isles to Darach, in '03 to the Barony of Lyondemere, and in '13 to the Barony of Altavia where she currently spends most of her time.
In '04 she became a member of the Good Ship White Star, and in '07 she became an apprentice to Meistres Tonwen ferch Gruffudd Aur. At 12th Night A.S. XLII (42), she was made the 3rd Bard of Caid. As part of this role, she's actively working on a Caidan Songbook, here on the wiki. At Fall Crown '08, she was released from her apprenticeship to Tonwen, when Their Majesties, Edward and Mora elevated her to the Order of the Pelican. At Winter Crown '08 she was made a Baroness of the Court of Caid by Sven II and Kolfinna II.
Besides her love and primary fealty to Caid, she maintains a deep love for the people of the Kingdom of Northshield.
Persona
Eilidh Swann is an English lady from sometime in late 1300's England, before dags come into fashion, so that as an old lady she can say, "Kids these days, with their outlandish costumes! When I was a young lady on court, we wore fashionable clothing, not like this frippery today!" She finds it odd to see other wild clothing from various eras and places, but chalks it up to the crazy fashions of far-away courts. Her travels have brought her to Cadiz, Spain, where she resides with the members of her household, the White Star.
You can read a more complete persona story on the White Star website.
