Silver Trumpet is a staff title of the Caid College of Heralds. It currently has no particular duties tied to it.

In the 1990s and 2000s, Silver Trumpet's duties concentrated on heraldic education in the kingdom as well as heraldic consultation at events and via email.

In 2011, Silver Trumpet was re-designated to be one of the major deputies of Crescent Principal Herald and was responsible for training voice heralds for royal courts, supporting local heralds during Their Majesties' visits and maintaining an expert level of court heraldry in Caid. Silver Trumpet ensured heraldic assistance during the King and Queen's final court and the new King and Queen's first court at Coronation. (During this time, Crescent, Dolphin and Bellows were responsible for the final round of Crown Tournament and the coronation ceremony itself). Many of these duties are now handled by the Courtesy Herald.
