Dreiburgen Anniversary The Battle for Normandy
Please join the Barony of Dreiburgen on Saturday, October 24 1998, as they celebrate their Anniversary at East Flats Campground in the San Bernardino National Forest. There is no Street address - this is the official county designation.
At the end of the 11th Century, King William Rufus’ forces invaded Normandy, to meet the forces of his brother , Robert Curthose, the Duke of Normandy. The fighting ended when Duke Robert went on Crusade, first pawning Normandy to William to pay for he venture.
Schedule of Events

The day will consist of a single elimination Battle of Champions Tournament, interspersed with melee tournament (you must be on a melee team in order to participate in the Battle of Champions Tournament) representing the forces of Robert and William (led by Baron Thurston and THLord Ulliam).
In addition, there will be contest for best Norman garb, best Norman armour, best heraldic display (on and off the field), and best period encampment.The day will include a Gentle’s Prize Arts/Sciences Tournament. Please bring your arts and sciences endeavours for display.
Collegium Sancti Geronimi (Incipient) host breakfast out of Robynne the Grey’s Bar & Grill, with hot drinks and snacks for sale (all procedes to benefet baronial coffers). There also will be a silent arts auction/raffle sponsored by the Canton of Mons Draconis. There will be camping and bardic activities in the evening.
