House Montrose is different from most SCA house holds in that its primary members really are a family with estates in two kingdoms (Caid and the Middle), which means that Montrose a Real House Hold.
History
House Montrose gets its name from the family farm where Drusilla grew up. The farm was named Montrose in reference to some of the Buchanan lands in Scotland falling in to Montrose possession.
Service
Loyal to the Barony of Dreiburgen Montrose members have held many Baronial and canton offices Including:
Science, Exchequer, Minister of Arts, Seneschal, Herald, Baron and Baroness, Chronicler etc…
Projects & Activities
- Hosted the Dreiburgen Armory 3/1983-11/1989 & 9/1997-2013
- Founding of The Dreiburgen Light Horse, 1987-present
- The Design and creation of the Dreiburgen Baronial pavilion 1989 and the redo 2003
- Provides Dreiburgen Archers with an archery range 2006 – 2014
- Keepers of the Dreiburgen Baronial Property and Regalia 1987 to present
