FEAST: The final menu will be published as soon as it becomes available, but I have seen the preliminary outline and it will be an amazing repast. The Feast will be limited to 100 guests, and advance reservation is required. Limited off board seating may be available. Please contact the Event Steward to be added to the waiting list for a reservation. Please bring tablecloths and table decorations, we will give a prize to the most festive table. Are you new to the SCA and need help with feast gear? Please contact the event steward. If you have extra feast gear cluttering your cupboards, please consider donating them to the Barony so that we may pass them on to those who need them.
Feast Fee: Adults $25.00. Children ages 12-17 are $20.00, ages 6-11 are $10.00, and ages 0-5 are guests of the Barony.
Feast Menu: **If you have any allergies, please let your servers know what they are**
On the table: Pickled vegetables, hummus, pita chips
Handwashing - cloths soaked with hot rose water
Starter: Berry salad with yogurt honey dressing on the side
Mains: Lollipop lamb on safron rice, honey ginger carrots, cherry sauce; and Ribeye Roast, chilled ratatouille pie, fresh baked bread with herb and honey butter
Dessert: Shortbread with a selection of jams and jellies (lemon curd, strawberry jam, rose jelly)
To Drink: Cold mint sun tea (nonalcoholic); and pitcher of sour cherry sekanjabin (nonalcoholic)
LARGESSE EXHIBITION: Handmade Largesse Exhibition. Anyone may enter any number of handmade pieces that do not need to be the same. All items will remain on display during the day. At her leisure, HRM Iseabail will select items for her personal use, and then each entrant will select an item from the remainder as a thank you gift. The remaining items will be added to TRM’s largesse. Documentation is not required, but please be sure to clearly label your items with ingredients and your name as the creator. Further, if your items are fragile or require special care, please include necessary packing to ensure their safety after the event.
SITE INFORMATION: Coronation and the Feast will both be held at the El Segundo Masonic Lodge. Please note this is a damp site. Wine and beer in moderation are allowed to be consumed on site. There is a small parking lot at the hall. Additional public parking is available in a small lot across the street, and lots of street parking nearby. We encourage carpooling if possible.
Hall Decorations: Please bring your flags and banners to decorate the hall! If you also have free standing poles for them, that would be helpful, but we will have some hanging furniture available. If you have participated in any flag and banner making workshops, this is a great opportunity to show off your work!
Dining: Within walking distance of the Mason Hall there are multiple options along Main Street. There are also great options within a short driving distance. El Segundo has become a bit of a food town, so listing all the options here would be prohibitive. We will have a map of several locations available at the event.
