Ok so really, in armour I am attempting to create a soldier in the late crusading period of 1290-1310 ish.  The more research I do into my time period out of armour the more I think my soft kit is going to be taking a later era to that portion of my kit....still to be determined. The Honorable Lord Pátraic Ó Ceallaigh (formerly Gaius Gratius Brutus) is the current Baron of Lyondemere.

Persona History

Acknowledged bastard son of a minor Irish lord born in 1280. Upon reaching his majority he left for Outremer to find fame and fortune on the field of battle. Patraic took up the cross in Milan where he met and and after returning from 3 years in Outremer courted and married an Italian jeweler's daughter named Rutilia Fausta.

He returned to Milan after a few years in Outremer, both on Crusade, and protecting Pilgrims as a Sergeant of the Knights Templar. Upon his return to Europa, Patraic decided that the continual strife in the fields of the holy land while noble left something missing. So he returned home to his wife and through his share of fortune won previously on crusade, did settle outside of Milan in a modest villa not far outside the city.

He continues his life of arms while caring for his lands and family under the Duke of Milan Matteo I Visconti. While previously accquainted with and friends of a most noble Knight Sir Philippe de Tournay he became his man-at-arms and after a year and a day took fealty as his Squire.

Upon becoming Squire he left the Order of the Knights Templars of Caid as a lay brother and did join his Knight's household Todeskorps a Swiss Mercenary Band who while fighting for coin are sworn to never take arms against their lawful King. Their relationship was a beneficial one, and he did learn much of arts martial. The time came though for Sir Philippe to return home across the great western seas, and upon mutual consent the two dissolved their ties of fealty, but their ties of friendship exist as strong as ever today.

With the members of Todeskorps settling down to hearth and home mercenary life has ended for our Lord. Patraic has focused serving his local Kingdom and Barony on and off the field martial.

To this day he seeks to test and better himself upon the field of arms, both at peace and war (when Kingdom calls).
