Memories
Dreiburgen Yule was a perfect celebration! Thank you to our event steward Mary Dedwydd verch Gwallter. Everywhere we looked, folks were smiling, new friendships were made and new adventures begun. The competitions had heavy contenders!! It was a joy to experience each entry.
The bards braved the crowd for the contest or just for the joy of it. They sang and spoke with such radiance, earning the praise and admiration of the populace. A hearty congratulations to Hallr Brjost Starsson, the new Bard of Dreiburgen! We are so inspired by where your passion for Old Norse has led your art!
Folks brought out their best for the table decorating contest, making the space so festive and beautiful. Congratulations to our winner Faoiltighearna ní Dhuinn Paula Nix Sawyer! The potluck tables overflowed with delicious contributions. Thank you everyone for pouring your time and energy into your dishes. Congratulations to the second annual Culinary Contest winners, Hlfrd and Fiametta Alice Kan! The cassoulet was incredible!
The gaming tables had intense competition, with Kasey Elizabeth Hertig emerging as our new Baronial Games Champion! Thank you Ameline Erin Onks for creating our first Brewing Competition, to the judges, and to everyone who entered brews, vying to be the premier Brewing Champ. That honor was earned by Conan MacPherson with an outstanding Scottish Ale. Thank you to Herb Alarcon for the beautiful site tokens and your efforts to make this event successful. Viscount Brocc of Alderden taught period dancing, creating so much joy that people from a neighboring party came over to join in and take pictures. So fun! Our awesome Youth Officer Michelle filia Osgari coordinated activities for a gaggle of children. Thank you Aldgytha of Ashwood for securing the site. Thank you to Anerain ap Logan for 1)being our voice as herald, and 2) making baubling happen! Thank you Tyne MacPhersone for running gate and Logan Black Rune for (game) lysts!
And to everyone who lent a hand to set up, tear down, and ensure that the day could be enjoyed by all, we appreciate you. As we said in our opening comments, you all are our family, and it brings so much joy to our lives to celebrate with you!
Joyous Yule! Yours in Service, Baron Ramvoldus Kröll and Baroness Kungund Benehonig

Today was a beautiful reminder of why I'm grateful for the community I've been lucky enough to be part of for over 20 years. Dreiburgen Yule was a heck of a party - amazing food, bardic, gaming, dance & so much laughter. We had folks whose time in the SCA makes my time look like a blink all the way to folks who chose this for their first event. We had such a good time dancing on the green that we pulled one gentleman away from a completely different party to learn a bransle with us. Congratulations to Hallr brjost Starsson, the new Bard of Dreiburgen, whose Old Norse recitation was so good it gave me chills. Thank you to all of the people who showed up and hove to, exhibiting the truth that Dreiburgen has always known: Many hands make light work. Herb Alarcon , Logan and Tyne, Anerain ap Logan, Arnleif Oladottir, Michelle Stark, Eben Kurtzman , Tracy the Gray, Suleiman ibn Rawh, Kungund Benehonig & Ramvoldus Kröll & so many others - Thank you.
