Welcome Populace to Dreiburgen Yule!!! Tis the season for joy and merriment! Dreiburgen has much to be merry about as we celebrate our new Baron and Baroness, Ramvoldus and Kungund. Dreiburgen has many traditions and much lore, so the theme this year is Dreiburgen Legends and Lore. Bring your stories, songs, and dramatic art (regarding our history, patron saints, and plague rats) and compete to be the next Dreiburgen Bardic Arts Champion. Dreiburgen’s current champion, Kenari Aldgytha, will be running the competition. We will be playing games to determine the next Dreiburgen Games Champion. Some of our past traditions will also take place.
- Best Table Decoration Competition
- Toys for Tots Collection – please bring a new unwrapped gift
- Tree Decoration Exchange – bring a decoration and place it on the tree and then, at a determined time, those that participated get to choose a decoration from the tree to take home.
The event will be a potluck. All ingredients, for each dish, must be clearly listed on paper or 3x5 card. Otherwise, we will not be able to serve the dish.
When: Saturday, December 18, 2021, 10am-6pm Event Location: 12345 Michigan Street, Grand Terrace, CA 92313 The event will take place outside at Jarmarr and Yngvidr’s home, so dress accordingly. Please bring your own chair. As we get closer to the event, we will post a map of places you can park.
Schedule of the day:
- 10:00 AM – Set up, anyone is welcome to show up and help decorate and set up tables
- 11:00 AM – Event begins
- 11:30 AM or at Their Excellencies leisure – Court, potluck will follow immediately after court
- 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM – Games to be played for Game Champion
- 2:00 PM – Bardic Competition
- 3:30 PM – Ornament Exchange
- 5:00 PM or at Their Excellencies leisure – Closing court
After closing court anyone that can stay to help clean will be most welcome. More hands, less work. Registration information: Adult Event Registration is $10.00; Adult Member Discount Event Registration is $5.00. Youths the age of 17 and under are guests of the Barony. Cash and checks will be accepted at gate. Make checks payable to SCA Inc./ Barony of Dreiburgen. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.
