THFL Jarijch was bestowed the illustrious title by right of arms after winning the Freakin' Tournament and defeating the formal title holder Don (formally Freakin') Ian Duncanson. Don (formally Freakin') Ian Duncanson passed on the title to Jarijch after he defeated Don (formally Freakin') Ian Duncanson. Jarijch also defeated Master Laertes McBride in the finals to also win the Freakin' Flag.
He is the Captain and unit-commander of the Sea Beggars.
The van Den Helders are a Dutch merchant family who traded goods, mainly otter pelts, ale, and whiskey, along the coasts of Europe. When the 80 Years War began their ship, The Golden Fox, was turned over to Jarijch van Den Helder who refitted it for combat in the Dutch rebellion against the Spanish.
The Sea Beggars often made port in Emden (Germany) where Jarijch's brother, Anders van Den Helder, inherited the Inn of the Golden Fountain, now known as The Beggars Inn, through his marriage to Clara. As a member of the Sea Beggars you can either sail along side the rapier fighting unit or assist in running the Inn.
