From the Crown Prints
On Saturday, September 21, A.S. XX (1985) The Barony of Dreiburgen will be hosting Caid’s Crown Tourney. This event will be held at Hunt Park in they City of Riverside
On Sunday, the day after Crown, there will b a Kingdom-wide Fighting Practice at the same Site. This practice will be accompanied by a day of meetings with the King and Queen, Crown Prince and Princess, the peerage and grand council. These meetings and the fighting practice will begin at 11:00n a.m.
TO THE LISTS PARTICIPANTS:
- Both fighters and consorts must be members of the SCA. Membership will be checked. Bring a recent Crown Prints with a mailing label, or your membership card.
- Six months residency and a minimum participation are required.
- Current medical information for both fighter and consort must be provided to the Kingdom Chirurgeon.
- Please bring small shields for lists.
CROWN TOURNEY SCHEDULE:
- 7:30 AM… Set up begins
- 8:30 AM… Lists open and armour inspection begins
- 10:00 AM… Grand March and Opening Court, Lists close at the beginning of Opening Court, which shall be followed by presentation of consorts, Invocation of lists, and the first round of challenges.
- 12:00 … Lists begin
- 4:30 PM… Closing Court
This Crown Tourney may be a long ng event, thus it be important to follow the schedule as closely as possible. ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THE EVENT ARE REQUESTED TO BRING CANDLE LANTERNS TO ILLUMINATE CLOSING COURT.
Pentathlon
As this is a Kingdom event, the Arts Pentathlon will be held during the day. The Pentathlon contest scheduled for Saturday are:
- Needlework
- Pottery & Ceramics
- Jewelry
- Glasswork

In addition to the Arts Pentathlon there will be other contest for your enjoyment. These will include:
- Best favor from a Lord to a Lady
- Best favor from a Lady to a Lord
- On-the-spot embroidery
- Heraldry
