The Defenders was originally conceived by Uilliam an Tarbh Baile na hAbhann and Luighseach nic Lochlainn fifth Baron and Baroness of Dreiburgen. However the final name and badge did not pass until April of 2005, leaving the honor of giving the order out to it’s first recipients to Malcolm and Robynne.
The Order of the Defenders of the Three Towers of Dreiburgen was created by Uilliam an Tarbh Baile na hAbhann and Luighseach nic Lochlainn, fifth Baron and Baroness of Dreiburgen, and first given in A.S. XL by Malcolm Alberic and Robynne the Grey, sixth Baron and Baroness of Dreiburgen, to recognize the warriors of Dreiburgen for their service in arms to the Barony.
Thus is given in token a medallion Argent, on a pile inverted throughout Azure an escutcheon Argent, a bordure embattled Azure to those who have given service in the martial arts and shown great honor both on and off the battlegrounds and tournament fields.
It is therefore with great pleasure that We, (Baron) and (Baroness), Baron and Baroness of Dreiburgen, upon recognition of your valiant deeds and continuing service in the defense of Our Barony, do this day admit ____________ to the Order of the Defenders of the Three Towers of Dreiburgen.
