This year’s West-Caid War will be a continuous resurrection War, similar to last year’s Mists-Cynagua War and to the recent Bambi War in Tarnmist. There will not be “timed” resurrections. Instead, the “dead” will be restored to life as soon as they report to the resurrection point. There will be only one “scenario” – the fighting area will be open in its entirety for three three-hour-long battle segments. The use of time and space will be left to the commanders and their armies. The entire War will be mixed combat, with archers and javeliners participating fully.
The War will be conducted on a point system. Death will count two points each, and will be counted at the resurrection points. “Healed” injuries and captures will each count one point, and will also be counted at the resurrection points. Returns to resurrection point For refreshment or for replenishment of arrow and javelin supplies are “free”. Certain designated “objectives” will also be worth an assigned number of points. The points for objectives will be counted by the marshals at random pre-set times during each battle, and again at the end of each battle. These objectives will be bridges, banners, Fortified points, etc.
LISSENUPS: These are the discussion periods which will preceed each battle segment (as in “OK , you fighters, lissenup!). In the lissenups, the conventions being used will be given, and any problems from the previous battle or changes will be discussed. LISSENUPS ARE IMPORTANT. Plan to be there. (if you miss one, you can get the information at your resurrection point before joining the battle.)
