Dreiburgen Anniversary
HATS AND SACKS A CELEBRATION OF ACCESSORIES
Come one come all to the lands of the Barony of Dreiburgen to celebrate its Anniversary. Our theme this year is celebration of the little things we take for granted some times. We have our fancy garb but what would a cavalier’s outfit be without his sword belt? What would a pirate be without his hat? What would a reveler be without his tankard? Undefended , uncovered and wet! So let’s take a day to look over our accessories! Let’s take some time to display those aspects or attire and persona that make a Viking a well equipped Viking!
Schedule for the Day:
- 8:00 am Site opens
- 9:00 am Lists open
- 10:00 am Opening court
- 10:30 am Lists close
- 4:00 pm Closing court
- 6:00 pm Feast
- 10:00 pm Site closes
Contests
The day will have displays and contests to highlight the little things.
- Contest will include Biggest Hat, Queen & Baroness’s Favorite Hats, Populaces Favorite Hats, Best Gloves, Best Pouches, Best Mug with adornments, Best Accoutrement.
- the Best Belt contest is not strictly for the belt itself but the whole utility belt of stuff we carry on it: pouches, scabbards, favors, raccoon tails, mug hangers and what ever else one has on their hips!
- There will be a spelling game involving the site tokens that will test the cleverness of the populace.
- There will be an Inkle loom weaving race. Participants supply a warped loom, and then will weve in a 30 minute timed race to see who can weave the fastest
- There will be a Peoples Choice Contest to display your Accessories in progress.
- There will be Lists for heavy and Rapier, as well as lots of other fighting.
