Dreiburgen Anniversary was held at Fairmont Park in Riverside on 10/28/1978 it was attended by approximately 65 people with 12 Fighters participating.

Dreiburgen Anniversary

Dreiburgen Anniversary was held on 28 October at Fairmont Park in Riverside. A Short court was held by King Armand and Queen Diana, after which the Lists and contests for the day began. There was Difficulty in the heraldry contest sponsored by Lord Hrorek Halfdane of Faulconwood was won by Lady Mary Taran of Glastonbury in the “pro” category and Roger Fitzlyon in the “novice”. An astronomy and astrology contest was sponsored by Katherine Graybard of Sillenglen and won by Kristen MacAmhlaidh. A love poetry contest was sponsored by Meghan Catriona McInnes of Kinlochaline was won by Lady Mary Taran. The illuminated letter contest sponsored by Lady Rowena de Segovia saw Virginia Francyss of Blackmoor emerge victor. The Dreiburgen Office of Lists sponsored a best challenge contest, Which was won by Andrew Ian who “couldn’t wait until Chritmas to cook the Duck’s goose!” Last but not least, the pumpkin carving contest was won by Lord Leo de Coronado with the second to Trista de Cordoba and an Honorable Mentions to Baron Talanque and Lord Durvyn Wildermuth von Wiesbaden

The Lists for Dragon Slayer of Gorgonoth and Champion of Dreiburgen was won in fierce combat by Adrian Buchanan against Duke Aonghais Dubh MacTarbh in the finals.

At closing court prizes were awarded and King Armand granted an Award of Arms to Bernard ben Barra, constable of Dreiburgen

After the tourney all retired to the manor of Lord Leo de Coronado and Lady Rowena de Segovia for a revel.
