The Crown is the joint power of the King and Queen.

  • THE CROWN is chosen by tournament combat as the rulers of the entire Kingdom. The tournaments are held twice a year with the earliest one is in March and those champions will assume the Crown in June. The same procedure is held at the Tourney in September for the champion to step up in January. The Crown’s reign for six months at a time and can repeat (if they are the champions). However, the Crown cannot compete in Crown Tourney while they are the reigning royalty.
  • DUTIES OF THE CROWN: Although it appears that the Crown is just there for the pageantry, many duties are required of the reigning monarchy, and administrative, judiciary, and representative responsibilities require considerable effort.
  • SUCCESSORS TO THE CROWN: The Victor of the Crown Lists and the Prospective Consort will be crowned Sovereign and Consort at the following Caid Coronation and shall reign as Sovereign and Consort of Caid until the next Caid Coronation.
  • PAST KINGDOM ROYALTY: Retaining the line of past royals is critical to recording the history of the reign of Caid. This information will be recorded so that future members of Caid can discover their History. The custodian of this information is the College of Heralds! *See Royals
  • ORDER OF THE ROSE: When a Queen/Consort finishes their reign and steps down from the Crown they are installed as a member of the Order of the Rose. The members of this Order are a treasure chest of information and experience in the ruling of the Kingdom.
