Lady Meggan of the Angels first played in the SCA at the Queen's Champion Tournament Spring A.S. LVI (2022). Meggan has been training in Combat Archery for several months now and looks forward to becoming heavy weapon authorized so that she can protect the Kingdom of Caid in the battlefields of War. She is currently an Archery Range Marshal in Training under the tutelage of Cristofanus Castellani.
When not shooting arrows, Meggan can be heard playing a lot of flute and looks forward to drum circles at War. She also is learning bellydancing and has a passion for bearing flags. Recently at Potrero War she discovered spear fighting.
Persona
Meggan's persona is 15th century Welsh. She shoots combat and target archery with a 64" longbow. She shoots self-made arrows with leaf fletchings. She uses palm leaves as they are the "leaf of Caid."
Although not religious, Meggan follows the Patron Saint of Wales, also the Patron Saint of Vegetarians; Saint David's teachings of abstaining from eating animal flesh.
Meggan is often seen wearing dragon scales. Years ago, she saved a dragon from the hands of a hunter. As thanks for saving his life, the dragon guards and protects Meggan and offers her his shedded off scales as a favor for his thanks.
She lives with her Viking/Scottish m'lord Robert the Best, a fellow Angels archer in their duo Viking-style wedge tent household.
