Baroness Gabrielle nicChlurain, OP.

Persona

Gabrielle Nicole Devereaux nicChlurain was born outside Glasgow, Scotland to Catriona nicChlurain and a charming young man from the French court. Unfortunately, the charming young man's father refused to allow him to bring his family home so his mother enlisted her family's help to rescue (kidnap, actually) his daughter and bring her to the French court to be brought up as a proper young lady.

After several years spent trying to locate her daughter, Catriona and her brother Edgardt discovered the girl's location. At the age of 11, Gabrielle was "rescued" from the French court by Uncle Edgardt and his men and brought back home to Scotland. By this time, Catriona had moved the rest of her large family home to the Midlothian region of Edinburgh. Happy to be reunited with her mother, Gabrielle learned the fine art of running the family estate, and gained an appreciation and understanding of nature that included the healing arts. In return, she shared what she had learned in the French court, especially her love of fine needlework. Upon her mother's death, Gabrielle inherited the family home much to the chagrin of her three brothers, and thus began a family feud that lasted for many years.
