It’s time to break out the armor and get back onto the fighting field after the holiday break. Angel's Melee is the traditional warm-up for Estrella War, and will happen on January 17th, 2009. The Barony of the Angels invites all army units, war bands, and solo fighters to come out for a day of fighting and camaraderie. We will have the usual tournament of 10 man teams, and for those who just can’t get enough fighting, a 2 on 2 bear pit. Once again at Angel's Melee, we shall have combat archery! | |||

Due to the presence of archers, we will have a 30 foot space between the eric and any pavilions, so space on the eric will be limited. Preference will be given to royals and geographical units. Contact the event steward to reserve space for your group. Please arrive early! | |||
If you or any member of your group needs to authorize or reauthorize, contact the event steward so we can arrange to have the necessary marshals available | |||
Pets are allowed on leashes, there easy access for the handicapped and there are there play areas close by for children. | |||
We will be limited to 10 cars at a time driving on to the site. Please be prepared to load and unload quickly so we can give everyone a turn. | |||
Merchants are welcome. Please contact our merchant coordinator and let us know you are coming. | |||

*Especially fun was Their Excellencies, [[John and Flavia]] getting up and walking out of opening court in order to award Vivienne de Lampérière, working at lists, with an Apollo. [[Sven II and Kolfinna II|King Sven]] (The Queen was not present) looked around a moment, apparently puzzled to find Himself alone in an Angels court. After a few moments, he rose and walked out Himself... in order to award Vivienne her Crescent! | |||
