1520s Honeycomb Smocked Shirt (2024)
Hand sewn with 35/2 white linen thread, the actual honeycomb smocking is done with a gold silk twist, ties are cotton thread braided into a 6 strand flat braid
Royal Artisan Project (2025)
At Winter Coronation/12th Night 2025 Their Majesties Valentine and Brocc created the Royal Artisans of Caid. The purpose of this group is to allow a small group of artisans, who have not yet been recognized as laurels, to showcase the projects they are working on. Ludwig's Royal Artisan project: A recreation of a pleatwork embroidered shirt depicted within Bernard Strigel's portrait of Hans Roth from 1527
This was exploration of more complex pleatwork embroidery than Ludwig had previously attempted as well as an interpretation of a style of button that is not often seen on undershirts of this area.
