Let it be known that I, Baron Ramvoldus Kröll proudly present the RETURN of The Holey Grail Archery and Brewing Competition this year to Great Western War. The Traveling Chalice needs a new home!!

The Setup…

His Majesty has called upon the Brewers of the realm to craft their finest drink. The Brewer who produces the best tasting beverage will be granted a sizeable commission to produce a large batch to be served at an upcoming feast.

During the tasting, several of the house members become violently ill. You quickly surmise that your casks have been poisoned by a rival brewer. The first flight of goblets has been filled and are on their way to the high table. With little time to intervene, you must stop the goblets from being served. Submit your finest beverage to the judging table located at the top of the ramp leading down to the Archery Range. Entries must be received by no later than 2pm Thursday October 6th. Archery scores will be combined with Brew Competition points for a cumulative total to determine the winner. Brewing submissions must be a beverage and must be completely made by the participant. For Example: If you are submitting a Sekanjabin, you may not use store bought vinegar. If you are entering a Hippocras, you must ferment the wine.

Cordials, Liqueurs, Cheeses, and Fermented Foods are therefore excluded from this contest. Brewing entries will be accepted from 12 pm to 2 pm Thursday October 6th and will be judged during and after the Archery Shoot. The Archery shoot will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The Archery Portion of the contest will be a 3D Novelty Shoot – a Speed end in which you will need to hit as many 3D foam Tankards as you can. All targets are roughly the same size spaced at equal distance apart on a haybale at the 20 yard line.

Winners will be announced at the Brewers’ Meet & Greet Friday afternoon. Prizes will be awarded to the 3 Highest scoring Participants with the single Highest Scoring Archer/Brewer taking home the Legendary Traveling Chalice for safe keeping. During which time the Winner may leave their mark by way of decoration or other adornment to the Chalice in any way they wish.

Best of Luck Brewers, we shall see you on the Range! In Glorious Service, Baron Ramvoldus Kröll
