Starting in 1996 the then incipient canton of Mons Draconis was granted the right to use Dreiburgen Spring Tournament as their anniversary

Prado Invaded by Plague Rats at Mons Draconis’ Anniversary
The Canton of Mons Draconis cordially invites one and all to celebrate their Anniversary with combat, competition, and camping. Combat for the day will consist of a Bear Pit and a Roes Melee. Victor will become Mons Draconis’ Champion (we had two Last year).
