Highlights
The sun shone bright in Gallavally on St. Corrigan’s Day. Much fun was had by all, particularly those gentles who chose to camp for the weekend. During opening court THLady Fionnghuala de Buchanan and Lord Bryce ap Morgan ap Martin were award Legions of Courtesy, a presentation was made by the nobles of Gallavally, and the populace gifted Their Majesties with a basket of toys in the silliness-spirit of the day, which Edward and Mora promptly offered to all gentles who wished to partake thereof. Upon the close of court the attending Pelicans were called before Their Majesties, and THLady Vivienne Duval was invited to join the Order. She accepted the honor, and will be elevated at Great Western War.
At closing court the nobles of Mons Draconis made a presentation to TRM. It was announced that the raffle had yielded over $400. Thanks to everyone who participated! Court was followed by dinner around the campfire and baubling with Gulliver. As tales from Pennsic were told by the flicking light, it was revealed that THLady Aidrean na catt Baineann had been awarded the Order of the Gauntlet while in the Midrealm.

St Corrigan’s Day
Hurkey Creek Park
Mountain Center , CA
Once again the Canton of Gallavally is gathering in anticipation of the eventual arrival of Saint Corrigan, our Beloved but Confused patron saint, at cool and scenic Hurkey Creek Park. However, we have decided to make the wait more comfortable by having a camping event.
We will have the usual Sheep Rugby, Sack The Town Raid, Bear Pit and other scenarios for individual and team competitions, as well as multiple games for the entire populace such as Bowl-ing, Hunkerhauser, the now traditional Gnome toss, Jumper Jousting and/or more equally silly and fun activities. Please be sure to check our page on the Kingdom Calendar for updates and announcements as that weekend approaches.
The site will open at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 14 and will close at 11:00 am on Sunday, August 16.
Pre-Registration through the Canton is required for camping; please contact THL Vivienne Duval at seneschal@dreiburgen.org to reserve your spot. The Canton reserved the entire section of the park and your camping fees are exactly what they cost us: $47 for two nights per space, which will accommodate up to six persons in two tents (that's less than $8 per person for the entire weekend)!
There can only be two vehicles per site - this is a park rule and is strictly enforced. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Pets are allowed, however MUST be on a leash at all times; the park will charge an additional $1 per night fee per pet, payable directly to the park upon arrival. The Canton will be charging no extra site fee for campers.
Site fees for non-camping Adults (12 and over): $3.00, with a $3.00 non member surcharge; Children under 12 are guests of the Canton. Please make checks payable to SCA Inc, Canton of Gallavally.
NOTE: The park will charge an additional entry fee of $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children and other pets, payable to the park upon entry. All pets (except children) MUST be on a leash at all times. There can only be two vehicles per campsite - this is a park rule and is strictly enforced. Carpooling is strongly encouraged.
