Location & Address: Hurkey Creek Park 56375 State Highway 74 Mountain Center, CA 92561
Description of Event: Sheep Rugby, Sack The Town, Bear Pit and other scenarios for individual and team competitions, as well as multiple games for the entire populace such as Bowl-ing, Hunkerhauser, Jumper Jousting and/or more equally silly and fun activities.
Fees: Pre-Registration through the Canton is required for camping; the Canton reserved the entire section of the park and your camping fees are exactly what they cost us: $47 for two nights per space, which will accommodate up to six persons in two tents (that's less than $8 per person for the entire weekend)! To encourage full participation, campers will not be charged a site fee for the event ... AND we are planning a "traveler's kitchen" to feed you Friday night!
Site fees: for non-camping Adults (12 and over): $8.00, with a $5.00 discount for SCA members; Children under 12 will be guests of the Canton. (That means it is only $3 for members, and kids are free!) Please make checks payable to SCA Inc, Canton of Gallavally. NOTE: The park will charge an additional entry fee of $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children and pets, payable to the park upon entry. All pets MUST be on a leash at all times. There can only be two vehicles per campsite - this is a park rule and is strictly enforced. Carpooling is strongly encouraged. Non-campers will be directed to appropriate parking.
Additional Information: Reservations are now being accepted. There's only a few spaces left! We had to turn people away last year, and if we are going to need to book more of the park we will need to know as soon as possible. Please contact Seneschal: Mora de Buchanan, firstname.lastname@example.org for reservations. Franklin von Ravensburg can be reached at email@example.com
One more item of fun importance... we will be having a white elephant raffle! Please look again, (everyone was so generous for the Gallavally Anniversary) and donate your items looking for another home, relieving your home from clutter while adding to the fun of St Corrigan's Day! Home/hand made items are also welcome. Bring them to the council meetings or pass them on to others to give to Franklin or Mora. Many thanks and I hope to see you all there!
