The good people of Gallavally would like to invite all to come help celebrate the feast day of St. Corrigan September 7, 1991 in the cool mountains of Idyllwild at Idyllwild County Park. St. Corrigan brought the map back!
The renowned Gallavally Dragon will make an appearance. The primary activities for the day will be FUN and GAMES (Foot Bridge, Tumbling Tower, Jacks, Marbles, Races…), and there will be an art auction of a tapestry design. The site is wet, and there is a site fee of $2.00 per person, Parking is limited ($3.00 per vehicle), and carpooling is encouraged. Overnight camping is available at $11.00 per campsite, which includes the parking fee, with a maximum of eight persons per site.
This event is a trial run with the Riverside County Parks Department, and we have to abide by their rules for this event:
No Swords and No Merchanting will be allowed.
The evening revel at Idyllwild Town Hall will feature a buffet feast of roast turkey with sausage stuffing and gravy, breads, cheese, rice, salads, and tantalizing desserts of fruit pies and Florentine cookies. The modest charge for this succulent feast is $3.00 per person. Bring your own feastware. This is not a potluck! If you want to attend the revel without partaking of the feast, the fee is $1.00 The revel site is wet.
