Highlights

From the Crown Prints

Once again the Barony of Dreiburgen invites all to brave the heat and join us for our 7th annual Summer Arts and Sciences Academia and Gentles’ Prize Tourney, to be held July 18, 1997 at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Riverside.

Following ancient and Honorable tradition (well 6 years is a long time!) we will be holding a day of classes including period cooking, needlework, scribal arts and more. The Gentles’ Prize Tourney will allow all artist and artisans in the Kingdom to bring their works to display. All gentles who are interested in critiquing entries should bring tokens to award to those entries they esteem.

There will be games and contests throughout the day, including chess and backgammon. There will also be a bake sale (donations cheerfully accepted, and worth one site fee waiver) to help rais funds for the Barony and a contest for the best bake sale item.

New this year will be the Baron’s and Baroness Prize Competition, to be judged by Their Excellencies. The Baron’s Prize Competition will be in the area pf woodworking and the Baroness’ Prize will be in textile arts.

There is space for a limited number of merchant’s tables inside the hall. Sorry, no pavilions.
