Hosted by Their Excellencies Ramvoldus and Kungund, Baron and Baroness of Dreiburgen.
Theme: “May the odds ever be in your favor.” Come in your finest garb—weather permitting. cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.
Parking: the site has one parking lot on Valencia road that holds 60 regular cars and 4 handicap. There is street parking on Foothill as well. Suggestion on load and unloading. If the parking lot is full we suggest unloading from the parking lot on Valencia, It's down hill to the site, then load at the end of day from foothill because it's also down hill from the site.
SCHEDULE:
- 8:00 AM – Event Staff Only
- 9:00 AM – Site Opens
- 10:00 AM – Morning Court
- 3:30 PM – Closing Court
- 4:30 PM – Tear Down
Volunteers: If you’re helping with set-up or need early access before 9:00 AM, please contact the event stewards to be added to the staff list.
EVENT REGISTRATION:
- Adult Event Registration: $25.00
- Adult Member Discount: $15.00
- Youth (17 & under): Guests of the Barony
Payment: Cash or check only for gate. Please make checks payable to: “SCA, Inc./Barony of Dreiburgen.”
Lunch The Honorable Lady Rayhana bint Estafanos al-Abbas is preparing a Middle Eastern luncheon. Menu coming soon.
COMBAT SCENARIOS
Armored Combat (Heavies):
- Wheel of Chance determines style for both fighters just before lay on:
Two-sword • Sword & Buckler • Sword & Shield.
- Fighters divided into Erics; round-robin within each.
- Top two from each Eric advance to finals.
Rapier:
- Format determined by dice so bring all your secondaries.
- A Roll of Chance determines style for both fighters just before lay on: Single-sword • Sword & Defensive • Sword & Offensive.
- Round Robin Format with single bouts.
- Top four fighters advance to Semifinals.
Cut & Thrust:
- Round-robin; top two advance to finals.
Axe Throwing (Bristle Targets):
- Each thrower gets 10 axes; highest scores advance.
- Finalists compete before Their Excellencies for Axe Champion of the day.
ARTS & SCIENCES:
Tortoise & Hare competition:
- Hare: Enter a new art form you learned within the last year.
- Tortoise: If you’ve ever entered a previous Hare, return this year as a Tortoise and show your progress.
- Judging: People’s Choice voting.
ACTIVITIES:
- Scavenger Hunt: Open to youth and adults—everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Its an SCA survival theme hunt.
