DREIBURGEN ANNIVERSARY TOURNEY will be held Oct. 23 [sic] in Fairmount Park in Riverside. We will again have the Dragonslayer Lists & will also have several surprise contests. Set-up will be at 9 AM & opening court at 11 AM. (See map for Tourney site). The Potluck Dinner & Masked Revel will start at 7 PM. Maps to the site will be available at the Tourney. For the dinner, a main dish, salad or dessert that will feed 10 or more people will let a party of 6 or 7 in the door. The cooking contest will be for fruit or vegetable breads (zucchini, corn, pumpkin, etc); 1 loaf of bread will admit 1 person. Members of the Barony of Dreiburgen will be providing soups. Each party must bring their own eating utensils & drinkables. As this will likely be a church hall, those indiscreetly indulging in alcoholic beverages or leaving signs of doing so will be asked to leave. We had problems of this sort at last 12th Night & as a result can no longer use that particular hall.
After the hall is cleaned from dinner there will be a Masked Revel. All are asked to be masked or disguised somehow, even if it's only a dime-store black domino (remember, this is less than a week before Hallowe'en). Prizes will be given to: 1) The most disguised reveler or best costumed; 2) The most medieval masked reveler; 3) the most bizarre or unusual costume (within the bounds of decency).
