The Barony of Calafia welcomes you to celebrate the holiday season and to witness the wonderful and diverse talents of Calafia’s artisans!
Join us on Saturday, December 1st, 2007 at the Santee Community Center, 10601 Magnolia Ave. Buildings. 7 & 8, Santee CA 92071. This is a damp site.
Calafian Artisans are encouraged to bring a display of their arts to display their talents. Artisans should know they are encouraged to display any of their arts but only those items which have been made this year will qualify for the judging. The populace attending will be given tokens to show their appreciation for your skills and artistry. Their Excellencies will use these tokens to help them decide who will be Calafia’s new Baronial Arts Champion as well as a Children’s Arts Champion.
We will be offering a simple mid day repast for a nominal charge.
Many fun activities are planned for the day! The guilds of Calafia will be setting up displays. There will be classes of all sorts. We will have Dancing and entertainment.
As usual will we show our Barony’s generosity by bringing donations for Toys For Tots and for Becky’s House, a halfway house for women and children who have suffered domestic violence.
Gate Fee:
$5.00 for members and $8.00 for non-members. Make checks payable to SCA Inc / Barony of Calafia.
Schedule:
- The site opens at 9:00 a.m. for set up and we must be off site by 6:00 p.m.
- Artisan Set up Starts at 10:00 am
- Opening Court 11:00 am
- Mid Day Repast 1:00 pm
- Closing Court 4:00 pm
