Warriors come out to play-aayyy! Calling all Boppers, High Hats, Moonruners, and Baseball Furies.
The Barony of the Angels welcomes one and all to the first fighting event of the New Year, the traditional Angels Melee, on January 13th, 2018 at Kuns Park in La Verne. Baron Uilliam and Baroness Fara invite all fighters to come forth and show their valor and team spirit during this full day of melee fighting. Can you dig it?!!
Angels Melee will be a round robin style melee tourney with 8 member teams. Afterwards, melees of 1/2 vs 1/2 will be run as a warm up for Estrella.
Rapier: Teams of 5 with restrictions on how many MODs, White Scarfs, and Argent Blades per team. No more than one of each per team to start but can be modified based on attendance as can the team size, but shooting for 5. Theme will be "Searching for DaVinci's secret recipe." Scenarios will include, but may change: bridge battle, alley doorway battle, dock/ship battle, barroom brawl, and laboratory battle. Teams will be given points and can earn pieces of the recipe. Wheeling ‘n dealing with/stealing from other teams is not discouraged. Prizes for the whole team.

7:00 am - Site opens
11:00 am - Lists close
9:00 am - Lists open
4:00 pm - Closing Court
10:00 am - Court, or at Their Majesties' pleasure
6:00 pm - Site Closes
Registration information: $11 for adults, SCA Members are $6. Children 5 and under are guests of the Barony. Please make checks payable to SCA, Inc/Barony of the Angels
Site: Kuns Park 1600 Bonita Ave, La Verne, CA 91750 PARK RULES: This is a DRY site. DOGS ALLOWED ON LEASH. NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON PARK GROUNDS! (This is a L.A. County law.)
