Academia Draconis: The Siege on Griffon’s Peak. The earth trembles and skies burn black. A new threat bears down upon us as we turn our blades towards the sky. Many tales have been told of a ferocious animal with razor sharp teeth, claws that could tear a man in two, and powerful wings that give it the gift of flight. Such a beast would easily tear a group of fighters apart. We believe that these unholy abominations have infested our lands and are growing in number. As we speak, a campaign to find and eradicate these foul creatures is underway. Once again, Dreiburgen sends out the call to muster at the base of the mountains this Spring.
Fighters, come sharpen your skills at this Collegium of War. No matter what Barony, Shire, or Canton you hail from, we are Caid. It is now time to rally together and fight for one cause. It is time to defend the Kingdom again! Academia Draconis is a multi-day camping event designed to provide practical training on the battlefield and personal development for chivalry and defense. With classes and discussions about Marshalling, Armored Combat, Rapier Combat, Youth Combat, and Art/Science skills that intersect with fighting, it’s not just a tournament but an all-encompassing weekend of martial skills!
SCHEDULE: Full schedule will be up by March 3rd.
- Friday March 21th - Site opens at 4pm
- Sunday March 23th - Site closes at 6pm
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
- Adult overnight registration: $50
- Adult member discount overnight registration: $40
- Adult single day registration (must leave the site by 10pm): $35
- Adult member single day registration (must leave site by 10pm): $25
- Blue Mountain Tavern Dining Tickets: $10
- Youths aged 17 and under are welcome as guests of the Barony, free of charge.
Memories
- It fills us with enormous pride to see our community continuing to grow while populace members find new interests. Just a few short weeks ago at Academia Draconis, We acknowledged the presence of our rapier community as they charged through the gates loud, proud, and strong in number. Joined in turn by our Armored Tower Guard bearing symbols of our pride branded across their tabards, shields, and hearts. Our martial presence was not only seen and heard, but felt. In service to his memory, we held an honorary Pas Tournament at Academia Draconis. Inspired by the St. Georges Tournament, It was an unfulfilled dream of our former Baronial Marshal to hold a tourney in the same vein. In his honor, I donned long dormant armor and wielded Lord Olaf's' weapon of choice. I entered the list with the mace that last touched the brow of the infamous Mousehelm. The honor and chivalry that was displayed that day was indeed a testament to the bonds of our Armored community. A greater homage to our friend, brother in arms, and Baronial Marshal would have been beyond the bounds of my imagination. ~ Baron Ramvoldus Kröll
