2nd Caid Coronation

Caid's second Coronation was hosted by the Barony of Lyondemere on November 18, 1979 at the First United Methodist Church of Inglewood.

Their Majesties Armand and Diana bestowed the following awards:
Awards of Arms: Helene of Glen Laurie, Gordon the Red of Darach, Megwyn of Glendwry, and Brandr Kjollsigssen
Order of the Dolphin: Lady Miranda Douglas of Schiehallion, Duke Aonghais Dubh MacTarbh

Presentations:
A set of leather quivers from the Barony of the Angels (so that Her Majesty would no longer need to put her arrows on the ground)
Mead, apple beer, and aethelbrose brewed by The Tuatha (headed by Lord Gwydiaan am y'Gorlwyn and Lady Anna McAyre of Gorabh
Brass rubbing of Sir John d'Abernoun from Heatherwyne
Carved wooden box for Her Majesty and a book on the first horsement for His Majesty from Agelos Evienece and Maren of Kilbride

Their (new) Majesties Martin and Neptha created Armand de Sevigny and Diana de Savigny Count and Countess. Mistress Gabrielle nicChlurain passed the office of Kingdom Seneschal to Count Armand.

Lord Duncan the Physicker brought greetings from Their Majesties of Atenveldt.

The Barony of the Angels gifted outgoing Kingdom Seneschal Mistress Gabrielle nicChlurain with a hand-embroidered silk pocketbook. Baron Conrad von Regensburg presented a garnet to Lady Eowyn Amberdrake and an amethyst to Lady Megwyn of Glendwry in token of their work as autocrats of the event. On behalf of the Troubadours Guild, Lady Miranda Douglas of Schiehallion and Lady Alana Balisette presented copies of the fighter poems to Their Majesties.

After a 2-hour recess, the Revel Hall opened to reveal a fantasy world of desserts and vegetables, including Rapunzel's Castle, a dragon with dragon eggs, a war between gingerbread men vs. sugar cookie men with a working catapult, all created by Ldy Lyrel-Phillipa of Eden's Hall, Lady Sine nicChlurain, and Mistress Giesele Hildegaard of the Mystic Dragon. The highlight of the display was a set of miniature painted figures on horseback representing all of the Knights of Caid, with fully blazoned arms on shields and surcoats, painted by Duke Aonghais Dubh MacTarbh and Mistress Mary Taran of Glastonbury. The beautiful figures were then given to each of the knights, with a promise that should such a display be made in the future, they would bring their figures to display.

King Martin and Count Armand then engaged in a catapult fight using Christmas balls which they shot into the populace, after which Their Majesties and the populace settled down to the serious business of reveling.
