From the Crown Prints

The Barony of Calafia invites you to join us for cool breezes under the trees at beautiful Stonehenge Park located on the UCSD campus (the College of St. Artemas), 9500 Gilman Drive, La Jolla, CA 92093. The event will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2010.

Schedule of the day:

8:00 AM - Site opens
10:00 AM - Opening court

Mayhem and fun ensues

5:30 PM - Closing court
7:00 PM - Site closes

There will be ransom tourneys for Armored Combat, Rapier, Unarmored combat and Youth combat. Winners will become the champions of the Crown Prints. The Inn of the Crimson Spade will be running games and the Canton of Poll na Gainmhe will provide croquet.

There will be the traditional choice raffle coordinated by Baroness Eloise of Lancaster. Items to be donated for the raffle should be brought to Her Excellency before opening Court. Once again, the Caidan Ladies of the Rose will be sponsoring their annual Basket Raffle which will include baskets for children and fighters. For more information, please contact Duchess Natalya de Foix. Raffle tickets for both will be available at the event for the standard donation of $1.00/ticket or 6 tickets for $5.00. Please make checks payable to SCA Inc-Barony of Calafia.

Do you want to have your artwork seen and admired by the entire Kingdom? Enter the CP cover art contest! Three different categories will be judged: Best Color Artwork; Best Black-and-White Artwork; and Best Photograph. All artwork must be suitable content for the cover of the Crown Prints, and must be no larger than 7” x 7”. Contact the Kingdom Chronicler with any questions, and get started on your entry now.

PLEASE NOTE: BLADES AND CROSSBOWS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON CAMPUS. Regretfully, due to site restrictions, there will not be merchants.
