Highlights
- The Pelicans were hatching! The Order of the Pelican was offered to Giles Hill and Giuseppe Francesco da Borgia together, then later in the day to Mora de Buchanan. Giuseppe and Mora both asked to be made companions of the order on the spot. Giles heralded both ceremonies, but indicated his own ceremony should take place at a later date, saying, "I have to make a new outfit!"
- New thrones for the Barony of Calafia were presented by Master Thorvald Olafson the Swordmaker
- After opening court was a memorial for Michele du Chinon
From the Crown Prints
The Baronies of Calafia and Gyldenholt invite the populace of Caid to join them in celebrating Friendship. This year’s celebration will have a Scottish theme! So pleats your kilt and polish up your pipes! There will be highland games, hound coursing, and bagpipes, fighting, shopping, food and fun! There will be a lunch for $5. Merchants are welcome and encouraged. There is a merchant fee charge by the site owners of $25/booth. Due to this Calafia will waive the site fee for the merchant and one minion.
There will be a short memorial immediately following court for the Rapier community or any who would attend for Michele du Chinon who was recently killed in a vehicle roll over. He was a beloved husband to Lady Anne deVere of Brittany. Our deepest sympathy goes out to her.
