Acknowledged bastard son of a minor Irish lord born in 1235.  Left for Outremer to find fame and fortune on the field of battle.  Took up the cross in Milan in 1251 where he met and married an Italian jeweler's daughter [[Rutilia Fausta]] enroute to the Holy Land.
Acknowledged bastard son of a minor Irish lord born in 1235.  Left for Outremer to find fame and fortune on the field of battle.  Took up the cross in Milan in 1251 where he met and and after a 3 year courtship married an Italian jeweler's daughter [[Rutilia Fausta]].
 
He spent a couple of years in Outremer, both on Crusade, and protecting Pilgrims as a Sergeant of the Knights Templar.  Upon his return to Europe Patraic decided that the continual strife in the fields of the holy land while noble left something missing. So he returned home to his wife and through his share of fortune won previously on crusade, did settle outside of Milan in a modest Villa not far outside the city.
 
He decided to test himself in arms upon the tourney field.  While previously accquainted with and friends of a most noble knight Sir [[Philippe de Tournay]] he became his man-at-arms to  did join a Swiss Mercenary Band by the name of Todeskorps
