Rayhana bint Estafanos al-Abbas has been a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) since 2005. Her particular focus lies in 16th-century Ottoman Turkish culture.

Rayhana is married to Suleiman ibn Rawh and is traveling with Mama Sadb's Caravan of Wonders.

Persona

Rayhana bint Estafanos al-Abbas lives in 16th c. Istanbul in the Greek quarter with her husband Suleiman ibn Rawh and son Hammad. She is skilled at embroidery, painting, and cooking, and craftwork, and she shares these with her local community and family. Rayhana is married to Suleiman ibn Rawh, an artist celebrated for his “magical portraits”. Their son, Hammad is a young boy who is learning art and trade from his father and mother, while also spending his days playing in the streets of Istanbul with other children.
