Viscountess [[Lorissa du Griffin]] reigned as the seventh Princess of the Principality of Caid, as the consort of Count [[Balin of Tor]] from June, 1977 - November, 1977. This reign was notable, and exceptional, as the then-Princess was only 10 years old, the youngest lady to ever sit upon the throne in the SCA. The fact that the Princess was a minor created some rather unanticipated complications. Having not yet reached the age of consent in the mundane world, real-life legal issues became evident - the Princess couldn't even sign many of the documents that were required of the Crown, and had to rely on the adults around her to act as regents on her behalf.
