- Presentations are made to the "retiring" monarchs
- The Scribe Armarius presents newly painted award scrolls for historical awards
- The royal court, Queen's guard and King's and Queen's champions are released from their service to the monarchs
- Coronation
- The first court of the new King and Queen
- The retired King and/or Queen are granted Royal Peerage titles, if appropriate
- The new monarchs present other awards (though, typically, not very many)
- Presentations are made to the new monarchs
