When Haraldr decided to go to Constantinople, Oz was one of the 500 who went with him and joined him as a member of the Varangian Guard. Ozmund fought alongside Haraldr until he was imprisoned, and fought against the new Emperor Zoe and escaped with Haraldr back to Kievan Rus. When Haraldr went on to become the ruler of Norway, Oz stayed in his homeland and joined Prince Yaroslav's army. | |||
