Darkwell War XVI in Dun Or

July 30 - August 1, 2004

The Mongol hordes have swept across Europe, and it would seem that little can be done to stop them! The Battle of Legnica took place in 1241 near the city of Legnica between the invading Mongols or Tartars of Golden Horde and Poles under Henry II the Pious, duke of Poland, supported by the feudal nobility including the Teutonic Knights. The battle was won by the Tartars, but they had to withdraw from Poland to the east.

Join us once again as we gather to fight, shop and play in the Mountains of Tehachapi.

There will be fighting scenarios for heavy and rapier; archery competitions; a boffer tourney; Arts & Sciences competitions; merchants, and numerous other diversions including the Midsummer Nights Tourney on Friday evening, July 30, and belly dancing on Saturday night July 31.

Please note that NO ONE will be let on site prior to Friday at noon, due to contractual obligations. Those arriving earlier will be turned away.
