Crown Tourney Event Info
Spring Crown Tourney, AS XLVII (February 23, 2013)
The Barony of Altavia invites you to join us for Spring Crown! Caid's finest will contest for the honour of their consorts and the glory of Caid beneath the shady trees at Veterans Park in Sylmar.
When: Feb. 23, 2013
Where: Veteran's Park, 13000 Sayre Street, Sylmar, CA 91342
Schedule of the day
- Set up: 7am
- Opening court: 10am (at the discretion of TRMs)
- Closing court: 4:30pm (at the discretion of TRMs)
- Park closes: 6pm
Park Requirments:
According to the parks requirements we need to make sure we follow the following rules:
- There will be no staking into the turf deeper than 6 inches
- There will be no driving on the turf
- There will be no amplified music
- We are responsible to remove the trash generated by the event
- Dogs are welcome but must be leashed and picked up after
Site fees:
- $6 for members with proof of membership,
- $3 for children 4-12,
- Children under 3 are guests of the Barony.
- A $5 non-member surcharge will apply for non-members over the age of 12.
Pets are welcome on a leash and this is a DRY site.

Privy Council
Privy Council Meeting February 24, 2013
The Privy Council meeting will take place in the hall at Proto Cathedral of Saint Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Address: 5329 Sepulveda Blvd., Sherman Oaks, CA 91411.
Time: 9:00am - 1:00pm
- The hall is a separate building behind the Church.
- Pull into the driveway beside the Church.
- There is a parking lot behind the Church and around the hall.
- This is a dry site and no pets (except service animals) allowed.
- Breakfast-type snacks, coffee, and water will be provided.
- Dress is modern as this is a business meeting.
- Reservations are required.
- Please RSVP to the Kingdom Seneschal at seneschal@sca-caid.org.
Directions:
- From 405 North, exit on Burbank Blvd and take an immediate right at the end of the exit ramp.
- Turn right onto Burbank Blvd
- and take an immediate right at the next light, onto Sepulveda Blvd.
- The Church will be on the right hand side.
- From 405 South, exit on Burbank Blvd and take a left at the end of the exit ramp. (Turning left from the right-most left turn lane is helpful).
- Take an immediate right at the next light, onto Sepulveda Blvd.
- The Church will be on the right hand side.
- From the 101 North, take the 405 North exit and follow the directions above.
- From the 101 South, take the 405 North exit and follow the directions above.
