I was a regular at the "Incipient Canton of 616 1/2," and got many a bruise there at the Redlands practice (I think my left inner thigh still has dents). I credit Adrian for teaching me how to fight against left-handers and how to deal with florentine styles. After Baron Sir [[Waldt von Markheim]] left [[Dreiburgen]] and Sir [[Theodric Pendar of Faulconwood]] retired, we had no knights in the barony for a long time. For Dreiburgen fighters to train, we pretty much had to find help outside the Barony. Adrian was a very, very good fighter. But he had the same problem a lot of us from Dreiburgen did - he didn't have a lot of money, and his armor was carpet held together with duct-tape. But he helped raise the status of Dreiburgen fighting and fighters. We were all a bit rag-tag, and some people suggested that Adrian would have been knighted even sooner if he had prettier armor and didn't live way out in Dreiburgen. But as I say, he was very, very good. Adrian finally had a armor upgrade and was soon invited into the Order of Knighthood. He then immediately proved himself by winning Crown. We were very proud of him. And, once he was king, many fighters and knights from outside of Dreiburgen seemed much more interested in coming to play with us. It was part of the Golden times in my memory. We were all very close. He was brilliant, athletic, of great heart and wanted to believe the best of everyone. ~ [[Eadwynne of Runedun]]

Memories

I was a regular at the "Incipient Canton of 616 1/2," and got many a bruise there at the Redlands practice (I think my left inner thigh still has dents). I credit Adrian for teaching me how to fight against left-handers and how to deal with florentine styles. After Baron Sir Waldt von Markheim left Dreiburgen and Sir Theodric Pendar of Faulconwood retired, we had no knights in the barony for a long time. ~ Eadwynne of Runedun
