The official Pelican ceremony has borrowed the Laurel wording, for those who want to use it. I think it would be awesome to see an Order Robe with all the Orders to which you belong upon it, with the badges in the left front (white belt, rose wreath, and pelican), and the rest of the cloak plain blue. BTW, I added the article due to a current discussion on the Pelican list.--[[User:EowynA|EowynA]] 14:32, 26 August 2009 (PDT)

What I had designed was a blue half round cloak with a wreath of roses around the bottom hem (since technically the royal peerage is the peerage, and the rose just an 'honor'). Then on the breast I had a white belt with a coronet sitting on top of it. Initially I was going to put that on the right side... and with the recent offer I was going to add the Pelican on the left side to balance it out. Hmm... Looks like I may have to rethink that... or just go with what I have now, and fix it afterward Highland. Always, thanks for all the interesting ideas, you rock! --[[User:Kottr|Kolfinna]] 14:40, 26 August 2009 (PDT)

Interesting, I had not realized the Pelicans never officially adopted the robe. I have been working on a cloak for a few years now with the intention of making a Caid peerage robe but for my knighthood/royal peer with the vague understanding that the blue robes were "peerage" robes. Now that I think of it, the official pelican ceremony has the robe as a part of it, wouldn't that make it official? Awesome article as always Eowyn. --Kolfinna 14:08, 26 August 2009 (PDT)
