The Barony of Dreiburgen invites all Caid to join us for Spring Coronation on June 2, 1990. Coronation will be held at Trinity Lutheran and First Christian Churches, across the street from each other at 5969 Brockton Avenue and 4055 Jurupa in Riverside. Caidan Crescents are planning a session for the day. Volunteers, please contact Mistress Beth Carpenter of Rye. Lord Rouland Carre and Company are planning a banquet to honor Their New Majesties, which will include roast beast, mushrooms and leeks, lentil soup and other delicacies to tempt the palate. Banquet reservations are $10.00 until May 25, $12.00 afterwards. Servers are needed (servers are fed for $5.00). If interested, please contact the autocrat. The Barony of Dreiburgen will also be selling breakfast and lunch at a snack bar.

All who have presentations for Their Majesties should contact the Crescent Herald, Master Akagawa Yoshio, in writing, at least a week in advance.

  • Those that put this on did an amazing job to put on a fine event across two different sites. Some of the hardest workers were behind the scenes and were never seen. This seems all too common in such a large event with so many people involved. On a sad note, I ended up being a bit of a wet blanket on two occasions. At one point, the Caidan Crescents (youth) found an alcove with a statue of Jesus in the Garden. They began using the statue as a slide and were having a lot of fun... but... I suggested to those in charge that the Church may not feel comfortable with it. Other activities were found. The second occasion was the outside partying and revel on the front lawn of the church. We had a drum circle and belly dancers. Everyone was having a GREAT time. It was so much fun that we were getting honks from passing cars and people were stopping their cars on the street just to watch. Again, with a certain amount of regret, I mentioned to those in charge that it would probably be best if we moved our party and dancers off of the street. The person I talked to looked surprised, then looked at the cars and said, "Yeah." And the party moved and continued inside. ~ Eadwynne of Runedun
