The Canton of Gallavally once again invites you to join in the celebration of the feast day of our patron saint. Come up to the “Highlands of Gallavally” for a camping event the weekend of August 1-3, 2014.
Camping is available by reservation through Hurkey Creek County Park (the Coyote Run Camping Area), by phone at 1-800-234-7275 or online at www.riversidecountyparks.org.
The site opens noon Friday, August 1, 2014 for campers, there will be a travelers’ dinner provided on Friday night for campers. The site will open on Saturday for the event at 9:00am. Day trippers welcome!!
Saturday’s activities include all the normal scenarios: sack the town, sheep rugby, gnome tossing, hunkerhouser, bouncy jousting, bowling (bring your favorite wooden bowls!), youth activities, and of course the now famous and traditional St. Corrigan’s Annual Raffle (raffle items most happily accepted).
This year there will be a people’s choice Arts contest – bring your art and show off!!
AND…. Master Gulliver will be hosting baubling on Saturday night!!
Friday 8-1-14 Site opens for Campers at noon Travelers’ dinner 6:00p
Saturday 8-2-14 Site Fee: In an ongoing effort to encourage newcomers and general attendance there will be NO SITE FEE (donations happily accepted). However, all waivers must still be signed, so be sure to stop at gate at the event.
- NOTE: the park has a day use fee of $3.00 for adults; and $2.00 for children; and $1.00 for pets (Notes: pets MUST be on a 6’ leash at all times).
Site opens - 9:00a Opening Court 10:30a – at Their Excellencies pleasure Lists close 15 min after court Closing Court 5:00p Non-campers must be offisite by sunset (approx 7:45p) Sunday 8-3-14 Campers must be off-site by 11:00a
