From the Crown Prints
The seventh monarchs of Caid will be chosen on Saturday, April 11, at Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa, Barony of Dreiburgen. This will be a one-day event with a dessert revel and (weather permitting) a bardic circle.
SCHEDULE:
- 9:00 am Set-up
- 10:00 am Opening Court
- 11:00 am Lists close
- 12:00 Combat begins
- 5:00 pm Closing Court
CONTESTS:
- On-the-spot embroidery, sponsored by Vanessa de Linn; prize to be announced
- Best Fruit Dessert, sponsored by Alina of Dreiburgen; prize TBA
- Most aesthetically pleasing, SCA-legal usable weapon, sponsored by Edvin of Runedun; prize, a weapon (a mace).
- Heraldry Contest, sponsored by the Kingdom College of Heralds; prize, a free submission.
ALL FIGHTERS IN CROWN LISTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE MEDICAL HISTORY FORMS FILLED OUT AND ON FILE WITH EITHER THE LOCAL BARONIAL MEDIC OR THE KINGDOM MEDIC (Chiurgeon). Forms will be available at the Lists table at Crown Tourney.
There will be maps at the site of local eateries. The site has modern conveniences (i.e. bathrooms), but no available showers. Please bring your banners to hang in the revel hall. Cost for the revel will be either $2.00 or a dessert sufficient to feed at least 8. For housing contact Elenoré de Brus d'Artois.
