Originally Scheduled in summer, July 23. It was canceled do to a heat wave in access of 101 degrees that caused the Prado Equestrian Center to close down. There was talk of rescheduling to Great Western War but 2006 was the year that GWW was canceled when we lost Prado Park after it switched over from being a Riverside County park to a Chino City park. “Spring” QEC was finally rescheduled to October 8,

QEC Canceled
QEC has been cancelled for this weekend. I'm really, really sorry. After talking with Jim though, there is no way we can do this without endangering horses. He said he doesn't even rent horses out after 101 degrees (even at a walk), so with 106 approaching, this just isn't going to be safe for the horses. And I figure people that own horses will feel the same way and want to side with caution. I know I don't want to ride my guy in 106 degrees at this high humidity...
I don't know when the event will be rescheduled. I'm reluctant to pick another day this summer, considering the type of summer it has been. But as soon as some sort of decision is reached, I'll let you all know.
So sorry about this. Please stay cool and give your horses the day off instead :)
Please spread the word everywhere you can to those planning to come. I'm especially worried about our friends in Starkhafn that might be journeying out tonight... If you get this please share around.

Rescheduled
In Honor of her Majesty Kolfinna, there will be a grand tournament held Sunday October 8th at Prado (formerly GWW). Basically the same details as the canceled July tournament, but I might be both Autocrat & EMIC. More to follow when I get more info & talk to Jim.

Tournament
As far as the Tourney went, Lord Richard Surefoot swept the first round with 2 firsts & 2 second places. Guaranteeing him a spot in the finals. Don~a Arabella opposing him.
After a brief consultation with her Majesty, it was determined they would do pigsticking, rings, & Quintain for the final round. Lord Richard took pigsticking 3to1, Whilst Don~a Arabella took the rings 6,5,4,4,5,6 to Richards 6,6,4. The Quintain was the deciding factor with Richard crushing it for 10.5 rotations.\

Queen's Champion Equestrian Tourney
Bring your faithful destrier (or rent one from the Kingdom Stables) and join us upon the tourney field to fight for the honor of being Her Majesty's Equestrian Champion.
Riders (Int. & Adv.) will compete on the quintain, rings, pig heads and beheading the enemy. Top riders will advance to the finals for a ride-off of Her Majesty’s choosing. Beginners and young riders are also welcome – special competition categories will be created depending on the authorization levels.
Please bear in mind the honor and responsibility of serving as Her Majesty’s Equestrian Champion before competing for this title. If you would like to compete but do not live in Caid or do not have the time to commit to serving on Her Majesty’s court, please consider competing “hors concours” (for the joy of competition but not for the title of Champion) instead.
Authorizations are necessary to compete. Please be prepared to authorize at 9:00 a.m. if you do not have current equestrian authorization.
Rentals are available through Prado Equestrian Center, but numbers are limited so please call 909-597-5757 to make reservations prior to the event.
If you’re coming from out-of-town and require over-night stabling, please contact the event steward.
Horses being trailered into the facility must have proof of current vaccinations.
