Thrown Weapons & TW Results
- Thrown Weapons Steward, Cristofanus Castellani ran a fun filled competition as follows:
- 3 knives to throw at the 1/2 apple on the butt. stick any part of the butt - 1 point, cut off a piece or stick the apple - 5 points
- 3 axes to stick wood- 1 point, chop the string - 5 points
- 4 Spears stick hay - 1 point, stick pumpkin - 5 points
- 2 sickles (yes, we got 2 new weapons at the Cold Steel Sale) stick hay - 1 point hit doll - 2 points, stick doll - 5 points
The results were as follows:
- 1st place and Naevehjem champion with 29 points Gregory McAllister
- 2nd place Tarou Kazetani (was also 3rd place in Archery) with 16 points
- 3rd place James Young with 11 points
- James of the Lake 10 points
- Cecilia Medici 9 points
- Bonnie Moir 5 points
- Rachel Nalley 2 points

Warriors! One and all! Brave souls of Caid! The Frost Dragon has again threatened our lands and will descend upon us at the Anniversary for the Barony of Naevehjem! Come help us to once more vanquish him to hell's cold gate from whence he came.
The day's fighting events will take place on the green across from the Ridgecrest Senior Center, 125 S. Warner Street, Ridgecrest, CA 93555 on Saturday, November 17, 2012. This is a dry site. There will be prize tourneys for heavy weapons and rapier—and of course, a special prize for the brave soul who slays the intrepid Frost Dragon. Contact the Event Steward to reserve eric spaces for your Baronial/Shire/Merchant pavilions!
Schedule:
- 8:00 a.m. Site Opens
- 9:00 a.m. Lists Open (Lists will close 15 min. after Opening Court)
- 10:00 a.m. Opening Court
- 4:00 p.m. Closing Court
- 5:30 p.m. Site Closes
- 5:30 p.m. Feast Hall Opens (maps will be provided)
- 6:30 p.m. Feast Commences
- 9:00 p.m. Feast Hall Closes
Site fees will be $7.00 for SCA members over 12 years of age; non-SCA members over 12 years of age will be $12.00, and 12 and under are free guests of the Barony.

Submit an entry into the Naevehjem Arts & Science contest. The theme is “Celebration of Harvest”. The Barony will also be holding a fund-raising raffle and fun activities for children of all ages.
Merchants are welcome for the mere cost of the site fee. All merchant regulations will apply. Please contact the event stewards for more merchant information.
After the event, come and enjoy a sumptuous feast prepared once again by THLs Liam and Magnus as they take you on a tour with delicacies from Asia, Mongolia, Nepal, and Japan. Bring out your best dessert recipe!
A Dessert Contest will also be part of the evening festivities with prize’s awarded for most period and Baron’s Favorite. The title of Confectioner to the Baron of Naevehjem will be awarded to the Baron’s choice of desserts.
Feast fee shall be $17.00 and advance reservations for the feast are highly encouraged as space is limited. Please make reservation to the Event Steward. The feast will be held at the Knights of Columbus, 725 W Ridgecrest Blvd., Ridgecrest, CA 93555.
Directions to the Senior Center: From the West/North: Take CA HWY 14 to CA 178 East until you must turn right on China Lake Blvd. Take China Lake Blvd. South and turn right on Ridgecrest Blvd. Turn Left on S. Warner St. The parking lot will be on your right, and the tourney field will be on your left across from the parking area.
From the East/South: Take Interstate 15 to US HSWY 395 North and turn East at the first Ridgecrest exit (China Lake Blvd.). Follow China Lake Blvd. to Ridgecrest Blvd. Turn left onto Ridgecrest Blvd. Turn Left on S. Warner St. The parking lot will be on your right and the tourney field will be on your left, across from the parking area.
Frost Dragon Baronial Archery Championship Sunday, November 18, 2012
The Archers of Naevehjem will host a shoot for the Baronial Archery Championship and fun at Baldwin Keep, 3750 W. Drummond Dr., Ridgecrest, CA 93555 (maps will be available). There will be assorted novelty shoots as well as the Baronial Championship, which will be a Forester Round. There is no site fee, but donations will be gladly accepted. Crossbows are welcome and will have their own category.

- 9:00 a.m. Site Opens/Setup
- 9:30 a.m. Warm-up Rounds
- 10:00 a.m. Archery Tournament Begins
- 4:00 p.m. Site Closes
